General Appearance: L.A. Joe, in a very general sense, looks like a handsomer, more-together version of James Dean Vern. He dresses well, but is extremely ruthless and scary when he doesn't get his way.

Role-playing tips: As a kid, Joey Benzine stole cars for kicks. During one arrest, the judge gave him the choice of jail or joining the army. Joe took the latter. Indulging his penchant for weapons and mayhem, Joe was honorably discharged a year early. It is rumored that his special forces team worked for the CIA. After leaving the army, he wandered around the country and met Holly Woods. She brought him into the Valley and he changed his name to L.A. Joe. L.A. Joe became the scourge of organized crime in Atlantic City. Know for his ritualistic killings and psychotic behavior, the members of his own Family acknowledged that he was crazy (although never to his face). Joe was absolutely ruthless when it came to increasing his own personal power. He used his knowledge of arcane lore to scare his victims, but over the years he eventually begin to buy into some of the beliefs. Sometime prior to 1996, he stumbled across an old treasure map in one of the ancient tomes. Locating the millions in gold buried in the Pine Barrens, he made plans to steal the treasure and leave the country. Unfortunately, he was arrested before he could execute the plan. He spent the next year convincing the local authorities that he was insane, but by that time the Valley was worried that he would talk. Now locked in an insane asylum, the Valley sent Wilshire and one of the members of his old special forces team to kill him. Both were found dead in Joey's cell. He escaped shortly thereafter and disappeared into the Pine Barrens. The general public believes that he is the Jersey Devil.
